The Townhouse Hotel - Melrose

Had a very positive stay within a lovely town.

Location really close to the centre of the village, Melrose Abbey and other points of interest and very central and close to Melrose Abbey and other points of interest, as well as shops, bars/restaurants. Also, right in the town square.

Really good service, delicious meals!

The long labyrinth-like walk to the ladies' toilets from the dining area is impractical!!! Limited parking makes it a hassle when arriving with multiple vehicles!!!

The superior double room was cozy and featured a spacious shower, tv, and electric kettle. The dinner menu was great, with amazing steaks. Breakfast had freshly baked croissants and organic juices. Staff were super attentive and friendly.

The Townhouse in Melrose offers friendly service and good meals, though the absence of a dedicated bar area can be inconvenient. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the haggis at breakfast was especially tasty. A lovely atmosphere makes it worth considering for return visits.

The room was spacious and super comfy, with a massive bed that felt great to sleep in. It had a pretty big en-suite bathroom, a plus. Everything felt very clean and fresh. Can't complain about the heating either-it was always nice and warm.

The seafood menu at dinner was fine. I relished the fresh scallop roulade. The staff's warm service. Pro tip, try the lamb if you're a fan of fine cuisine!
